Miracle Babies Steve Downes is an Eastern Daily Press Reporter in Norfolk. When his wife Yolande became pregnant they were told by the hospital that the baby boy had cystic fibrosis and that the humane thing would be to have an abortion. They decided to go ahead with the pregnancy and asked for prayer at an Alpha Course meeting. As they were praying Yolande felt an intense heat in her womb. Later their baby Ezekiel was born perfect – no cystic fibrosis! Donato Anzalone is a Pastor in Lugano. Ten months after his wife Annelies gave birth to Gabriella they were told by the hospital that their baby had severe irreversible brain damage. She would never walk or talk! Seeking God for guidance they heard, ‘Every perfect gift is from above!’ Against all the evidence Donato and Annelies believed God. The Snow Geese There was a Scottish farmer who did not believe in the Christmas story. The idea that God would become a man was absurd. His wife, however, was a devout believer and raised their children in her faith. The Farmer sometimes gave her a hard time, mocking her faith and belief in the incarnation of God in the baby of Bethlehem. 'It's all nonsense', he said, 'Why would God lower Himself to become a human like us? It's a ridiculous story'. One snowy Sunday evening his wife took the children to Church while the Farmer relaxed at home. After they had left, the weather deteriorated into a blinding snow storm. Then he heard a loud thump against the window. Then another thump! He ventured outside to see what was happening. There in the field was the strangest sight, a flock of geese! They had been migrating south but had become disorientated by the storm. They were stranded on his farm, unable to fly or see their way. The Farmer had compassion on them. He wanted to help them and realised his barn would give them shelter for the night. He opened the barn doors and stood back, hoping they might make their way in. But they didn't realise it would be a shelter for them. So he tried to shoo the geese in but they ran in all directions. Perplexed, he got some bread and made a trail to the barn door. But they still didn't catch on. Nothing he could do would get them into the warmth and shelter of the barn. Feeling totally frustrated, he exclaimed, 'Why don't they follow me? Can't they see this is the only place where they can survive the storm? How can I possibly get them to follow me?' He thought for a moment and then realised that they would not follow a human. He said to himself, 'How can I possibly save them? The only way would be for me to become a goose. If only I could become like one of them. Then I could save them. They would follow me and I would lead them to safety.' At that moment he stopped and realised what he had said. The words reverberated in his head. 'If only I could become like one of them, then I could save them.' Then, at last, he understood God's heart towards mankind. He fell on his knees in the snow and worshipped Him! 'Storm Without, Peace Within' 5 3/4" x 8 1/4" Christ is revealed in a photo taken out of an aeroplane in an electrical storm. STORM WITHOUT, PEACE WITHIN A plane, on a scheduled flight from Australia to New Zealand, flew into an electrical storm. Thunder and lightening surrounded the plane which fell about the sky in an alarming manner as the pilot fought to keep control. The passengers started screaming, believing a crash was inevitable, as a spirit of panic filled the cabin. At the back of the aircraft two ladies were praying. They reminded Jesus that He had calmed a similar storm on the Sea of Galilee. Would He please do it again? At the simple and child-like request the plane was immediately restored to level flight, while the peace of God filled the cabin and calmed the passengers. Outside, however, the storm continued unabated. The two ladies realised no one would believe their story so they took a photograph out out the window, of the thunder and lightening. How could there be such peace within and storm without? This is the photograph! Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In the storms of life even the greatest sinner can come to Him and receive His peace. This was the discovery of Davey Falcus, a Crime Boss who ran the drugs racket in Newcastle on Tyne. This is testimony. 'On 16th August 1995 I picked up a Bible and read 'He who seeks finds.' Totally desperate and on the verge of suicide, I called out to Jesus Christ asking for forgiveness. There was no answer so I went on shouting till I got one! To my utter amazement and joy a bright shining light filled the room. Wave after wave of pure bliss rolled over my body. Then I saw a vision of Jesus Christ. He said to me, 'Son, your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more.' It was the most beautiful experience of my life. Today I have joy, peace, love and contentment. No longer is my mind full of fear, paranoia and violence. The voices are now silent and He has set me free from drugs, alcoholism and cigarettes. I found the answer to all my problems in Jesus Christ. I am now a Minister and Evangelist preaching all over the world in prisons, schools and on TV and radio. Jesus is now my best friend!"
